I’m Alessio La Torraca, a multidisciplinary Motion Designer and Art Director with over 18 years of experience across branding, broadcast, streaming, advertising, and digital platforms.
My work focuses on creating motion-driven visual systems that combine storytelling, clarity, and strong design fundamentals. I work across motion design, branding, art direction, and visual storytelling, not as separate skills, but as interconnected disciplines rooted in visual communication.
I began my career in graphic design, developing a strong foundation in composition, hierarchy, typography, color, and layout through print and visual identity work. Those principles later translated naturally into motion graphics, broadcast design, and 2D/3D animation, where design needs to perform under real production constraints. My transition into motion graphics happened inside a live broadcast environment, where speed, collaboration, and clarity were essential. That experience shaped how I approach creative work today: concept-driven, production aware, and scalable.
Over the years, I’ve worked across entertainment, streaming, advertising, tech, and broadcast, taking on roles that allowed me to grow both as a designer and as a creative leader. I’ve helped define visual directions, build mood boards and visual systems, guide motion workflows, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
Alongside motion and design, photography plays an important role in my practice. It sharpens my ability to observe, frame, and capture moments, skills that directly inform my approach to composition, lighting, and visual storytelling across all mediums.
I blend storytelling with technical precision to deliver high-impact 2D/3D motion content and scalable visual systems from concept through execution.
